General Objectives

Organizes and implements an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential.

Specific Objectives

  1. Plans, prepares, and delivers instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences
  2. Prepares, conducts, and grades quizzes and tests in accordance with school policies
  3. Develops scoring schemes and answer keys for all quizzes and tests
  4. Develops yearly, monthly and weekly plans of instructional activities
  5. Provides constructive feedback for students using formative and summative assessments
  6. Submits daily lesson plans for all classes in advance
  7. Identifies and selects different instructional resources and methods to meet students’ varying needs
  8. Uses relevant technology to support instruction
  9. Assigns and grades classwork, homework, and projects
  10. Maintains accurate and complete records of students’ progress and development
  11. Encourages and monitors the progress of individual students
  12. Prepares required reports on students and activities
  13. Provides administration with appropriate feedback on work and students conditions
  14. Maintains discipline and class control in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school
  15. Acts as an advisor to students on matters including but not limited to academic problems
  16. Participates in extracurricular activities such as social activities, sporting activities, clubs, student organizations, field trips, and recreational trips
  17. Attends and participates in school events upon the request of the administration.
  18. Participates in department meetings, school section meetings, general staff meetings, and parent-teacher meetings
  19. Participates in professional development programs arranged by the school
  20. Keeps up-to-date with developments in the subject area, teaching resources, and methods and makes relevant changes to instructional plans and activities
  21. Prepares school events (Shows on occasions for Music teachers, Art exhibitions for Art teachers)
